about THE MAX

About
The max is a youth event for mainly 11-14's in and around Leeds

we exist to meet a need not for our own ends

The Max has been around for several years but then went very quiet for a while but we felt across the city that we wanted to resource the key age group of 11 to 14's particularly and so Lee Jackson and Andy Lenton 'volunteered!!' to get the Max event up and running again.

Leeds doesn't do a lot of big events and that's not necesarily the focus for our youth work but we do feel that the Max is the right event at the right time and that is the reason that we are doing it. It is not owned by anybody it's just done as a collaboration between Leeds Faith in Schools and Bridge Street Church mainly with help from other people from different churches and organisations across the city and beyond.

We aim for it to be an excellent professional event which will help to give the young people across Leeds a bigger picture of God and help them to feel part of something bigger and also have opportunities to respond to the Good News there and then on the night, or to be followed up in their cells or youth groups afterwards.

We are constantly looking for volunteers and team members to help with the Max so please if you have got particular skills, please let us know.

We are NOT precious about the Max and are keen for it to be useful and shaped to be used properly to help grow the youth work across the city of Leeds.

Please help us keep it focused by using the feedback options.

cheers Lee and Andy
